Abstract

A study of the relation between nature and city in Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen’s poetry conducted through the poems “Cidade†(from the book Poesia, 1944) and “Brasília†(published in Geografia, 1967). A comparison between the latter and the text “Brasília, cidade inventadaâ€, written by Lucio Costa, concerning their artistic principles.
